My version of Leviathan - or any sea monster in general, actually. Normally they are either a serpent or octopus, so I thought ... WHY NOT COMBINE THE TWO? I am so devilishly brilliant it should be illegal. -cough-This particular monster has a place in one of my stories. He is thousands of years old and has had many names, Leviathan being his newest one. He is the last living sea serpent, surrounded by myths and legends. Many stories have been told about him, most of them describing his attacks towards ships venturing the sea; his octopus arms grabbing hold of the vessel, from which he devours the crew one man by one.

This is, until now, my favorite fantasy sea creature I've ever seen! Great job, can I maybe use this species in a story of mine? Our English teacher literally gave us the assignment "Create an epic fantasy tale about a guy on a ship.". Low and behold I came up with a sea monster attack.

Depends, in present time you probably wouldn't have to worry about that too much since there would only be one of these guys, and he'd have grown so big he wouldn't be able to swim near shores without becoming stranded. If you were to fall off a boat in the middle of the sea, however ...

Wow this is impressive! I like the idea of crossing to of the biggest myths. Also I like the colors you chose for him and the detail of his skin. What I'm not sold on is the bubbles in the background by his tail; they are to clear to me maybe they should be more see through.

It certainly wouldn't, since the serpent/squid combination doesn't make any sense anatomically. But it's a fantasy world, only based on ours, so who cares? (;
