Technically, as heroes, you're not supposed to find a significant other. So to be honest, there is no perfect pair.

Although I can't see Po in any serious long term relationship, because he's immature as hell. And Tigress I can really only see with Tai-Lung or Mei-Ling.

okay first. you can find love even as a hero. I mean look at all the other heroes with a companion.

Second, you're right about po not staying in long term with his immaturity.

Third. don't you think it'll be weird if tigress and tai-lung got together. I mean technically they're siblings because shifu adopted them.

I never said they can't, I said they're not supposed to... Especially considering you're a hero, so you'd be endangering your partner whenever you get into battle. And honestly, the best way to hurt a hero is to kill his partner. ( Be that partner a side kick like Batman's Robin, or a mate/spouse )

And ... Yeah, he's immature. So ... He's say 'Dragon Warrior' get a girl kinda hot, then he'd blow his chances to actually get anything done.

And honestly that's a weak argument. Yeah, Tai-Lung and Tigress were adopted by the same person, but they were adopted roughly 20 years apart, and neither of them met one another when they were under his care. Technically, they don't know each other, they just have the same background.

well that may be, but I doubt that tigress will ever have a relationship with and emey to kung fu

and for the first argument. sometimes death can bring out an uknown power they didn't know they had.example, on the show dbz when krillin and piccilo died goku was the first in the show to unleash super sayain.

Not with the sad events of the 2nd movie no. Evil seems to be more outrageous than calculating. However, playing off the events of the 1st movie alone, I could see it happening... Specifically because Tigress lost her birth right to Po, who ... is an idiot, and clearly didn't train for it. I'd defect if all my dedication and training was made obsolete by some guy who just 'showed up' that day.

And obviously a hero can gain new meaning behind their lives after a friend dies... But the fact of the matter is, someone had to DIE in order for that to occur. Meaning that the hero, in question, is hurt.

It's the principal of the fact that they were too weak, inattentive, or unskilled to save that person from harm or death is what makes the event so dramatic. It has nothing to do with the aftermath.

If I were to see Po and Tigress as a couple, and Po needed to be put in his place... I'd kill Tigress in front of him. It wouldn't matter that all of China would attempt to rain down on me in the aftermath of my declaration of war... I already made my message clear, and I've dealt such a painful blow, anything else that I do to Po is merely to add insult to injury.

well I would agree with that if I spent most of my life pursuing a goal and some nobody obtains it, I would be furious

and that's how life is. people die. one way or another. and sometimes the character's death to the protagonist is inevitable. it will someway occur. for another example. the 2nd movie, it reveals how po became seperated from his parents and show the possibiity of his mother's death, but we don't know for sure if she's dead. I mean in the middle we all presume that they all died, but in the end it showed his father along with others survived.

and if you ever actually killed tigress, there's a possible chance po will ouright slaughter you. because technically he's a bear that know martial arts and knows some powerful mystical techniques.

Well you see what I mean. Why wouldn't it be a logical explination for her to defect and join evil or ... at least quit.

And we all understand that life is cruel... But there are people out there that attempt to protect the weak, the working and the infeeble... Those people are heroes.

The Heroes are detested by the Villains, who don't care who their harming, but the Heroes are the ones us Villains hate the most, and what best way to do it than hurt the ones they care about.

Friends... Family... Relatives... Neighbors, anybody they associate with.

So, as I was getting at in the beginning. The best way for a hero to protect the ones they care about, is to not associate themselves with them, so ... A relationship for a hero, is usually always a bad idea.

And I'm not going to get into the mechanics of my Kung-Fu Panda Character, so I'm not going to waste your time telling you that Po can't stand up to my character or his friends. But I'm perfectly aware that killing someone high profile like Master Tigress would command a lot of retaliation... Which is why I wouldn't do it.

But, if Po was throwing his weight around too much, acting as if he was the be all-end all of Kung-Fu ... Then I'd kill the person that's closest to him, just to prove a point.

Like I said, I'm not going to waste your time so, to make a long story short.

My character is [Sho-Tetsu TaiShen-Mao Fuzen Kusanagi] a Snow Leopard. To explain, he's from Japan, and his name is Sho-Tetsu Fuzen Kusanagi. But, after he went to China and died, he changed his name to TaiShenMao Kusanagi, to hide his identity. While he was alive, he had a few children and one of them was hidden away from assassins that were meant to kill him. The boy that was hidden was named Setsuna Kusanagi, but he became Tai-Lung.

In my story, Shen-Mao was returned to the world of the living, and rescued Tai-Lung from death. They go into hiding for a year and trained to unlock chi to gain more power, all the while, picking up people along the way while plotting to eventually burn all of China to the ground. My character is a villain, and undead. His chi, Kokou chi, strips anyone living of their stamina, making them pass out. And Po, has one of the more extremely powerful chi's and obviously no ability to wield it. It would take time, patience and guidance in order to actually master it... And that won't happen for Po. The only person that can teach him is Shifu, and Shifu and Shen-Mao are bitter enemies. So, long story short... It's a stale mate between Shen-Mao and Shifu, neither will begin war, and neither will ever back down.

UnrealFox In reply to dfighter [2012-06-08 04:21:19 +0000 UTC]

The story has partially already been done, nearly twice now. However, I've never started the War on China.

The first story was Dynasty of the Fated and Cursed, or just... Dynasty for short, which was followed by Blood of the Earth.

The 2nd was called 'Tetsu', mostly about Tai-Lung in his disguise, but the plot is virtually the same.
