I wanted to go up to him and pet him.. Not likely
but he wasn't afraid, just wary.

Beautiful shot Don! shot from a blind? or did it walk in on you like I've had them do.
I got my lens back today!

Nope, leaning over the hood of my suv. He was curious
and walked within 20 ft. of me. Even sat down and stretched
and yawned. Had my camera off my default setting(by
moving it off the floor accidently bumped the camera from f7.1 to
f16 by mistake for about 20 shots. Only a couple were sharp
enought to keep. I had caught the mistake when I make this shot.

I hate when that happens....lost some cool deer pics by having the ISO set too low one morning, forgot to reset it after shooting flash pics the night before... bet cha that won't happen again....

Geo. bet it does.. I was shooting an eagle flying,
set my exposure +2/3 stop. A few min. later I had
a chance at some tundra swans taking off.. guess who was still at +2/3.
Everytime I chg. from my default setting, I have to remind myself
to chg back or be sorry.

This is a full frame shot with the 400mm, shot in
low light, so i'm thrilled it came out.

Nice...the best I have for long distance is my 150mm.
Lucky! I don't have that kind of luck too often with low light shots.
