Only 20 below zero, but my 1st Northern Hawk Owl.about the size of a crow, its a day flying owl, that
looks like part owl and part hawk.

I'm thankful it doesn't get nearly that cold down here in Texas, but I don't think we get those Hawk Owls either.

Above Zero finally today! This is an absolutely amazing photo, where was he/she? And, how is it standing on that small branch without it's wings out a bit?

Its in northern minnesota, a place called zax-zim bog.
There was a little wind, but he was totally relaxed
and balanced with no sign of discomfort. Well i'm back
home, and its 5 degree above zero, but grey and yukky.
No shooting today!
