Gonna love these fat little chickadees, they always put the biggest grin on my face anytime.
Too bad I have never seen them in real life.

This picture is AWESOME! These have to be some of the cutest things in the world. Great shot with food in its mouth! & the background colors really complete this wonderful shot!

this could almost be mistaken for a pencil drawing with watercolour. I like the softness about it . . . and the lack of colour apart from the reddish of the plant. you really caught a great moment with it in the mouth!

I'm using the 300mm F4 to 5.6 lens - and not getting results quite like yours

If you are using the zoom 70-300 lens. I doubt you'll ever get the same results.
My 100-400 IS L series lens isn't as sharp as the 400 f4. No zoom lens is as
sharp as the fixed lens. the 400 f4 DO lens lists for 5300 $ us new. Its a
very good lens. (not as good the the 500 F4 L IS lens). but half the weight
and 10 inches or so shorter. I went thru you gallery and you have some
wonderful shots. I notice you're almost always shooting iso 100. On anything
flying. bump up to 400 and get your shutter speeds up above 1/1000.
