I...LOVE...THIS!!!! You are very good at creating great compositions. Not to mention personality shines through in your artwork. I love the eery green glow; it add a mysteriousness to the piece. If you wanna get better at digital painting all you have to do is practice because all it takes is time and practice

Anyways, I really like the shading on this, the only thing that kind of bugs me is the eye looks kind of wonky. Other than that, it's great.

Okay, re-commenting because mobile dA apparently decided to play a prank on me.
Ho-lee-cow. Please excuse me while I swoon then stay up all night adoring this and your bloody. Fantastic. Shading. 'Kay, so you say you're working on being a better digital artist? OH MY GOD, DON'T! 'Cause if you do, you'll blow my midn and that won't be pretty 'cause there'll be brains and blood everywhere! Just kidding. But you still will blow my mind, just not the gross way. To be honest, until I read the artist comment, I had no idea that this was a digital piece (how is it that some of them manage to do that?! :icondeathstareplz). How I managed to not realize this, I'm not quite sure, but whatever. The point is that it's just as godly and wonderful as all your other pictures. I mean seriously, THAT SHADING STYLE.... I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT HURTS. A question though, is his right hand held in a fist behind one of his quills? A little confused there. And his right iris seems a little too close to his nose, if he's supposed to be look off to (our) left rather than (our) right.
Those are the only things that raise my eyebrow ( anyone?), and I'm happy that that is so! Because it means I can go back to admiring this fantastic piece of art.
Btw................. you sorta inspired me to make my own somewhat crappy b-day pic for Shadow. XP

Well, the base pose was a pensketch, but I colored it so much that it counts as digital. 
Yes, his fist and arm is behind his quills. Hedgehogs have wonky heads you know.

It [sometimes] lets you open up pictures from your computer to color in the sketch pad, so I uploaded this, which was a simple pen sketch--he didn't even have a face!--and had fun. The background I also drew on the website and then I stuck them together. The sites a lot of fun, and I've been using it for years. ^^ It's great to just experiment and develop a style.
