Well, I'm hardly one to critique something I'm pretty bad at, so I'll just stick to a more technical aspect that I can XD. I've noticed some hard lines and edges, mostly on his silhouette, that are just asking for some anti-aliasing. I don't know how Photoshop works, but running them over with a slight blur tool might do the trick. It might not be anything, but I'm a Blender nut so hard lines drive me nuts.

Don't worry, most people outside the 3D community don't quite know it by name, Anti-Aliasing is when the software slightly blends the edges of two areas of hard contrast so that you get a clean, smooth line instead of a pixilated border.

I like it because the composition is great (he's centered but at an diagonal which makes it interesting. I also like his pose and the way his foot is touching the border makes it feel like he's about to jump out the page and run by or something (-_-) at least in my head it does). But I don't think all of the highlights on sonic is needed. The only place where an extreme highlight (white) could be placed is where the light hits him directly, otherwise a nice lighter in value and slightly desaturated version of his color can be used as a soft highlight. And be careful about his hand (the one farthest right) disappearing into the background color. Otherwise I think you did pretty good. You should definitely do more digital painting (~it's fun
