This works very well on two levels. On one, his biceps and muscles look so real. The truck around him and the dog around him aren't touched in the slightest, so the illusion of muscle god holds up to all but the most professional observers; like a good magic trick.
On another level, the dog's face is just priceless. I doubt that he thinks any differently of his owner as long as the kibble keeps coming and he gets his spot on the couch when his master goes for a roll in the hay with another hunk

I love the dog as well. His ecpression is priceless. Thanks so much for the tehnical comments. I don't like to get into specifics because as I've learned by doing, I see people playing the same tricks as me and I see jagged errors where I used to see seamlessness. There was a lot of manipulation of the background in this photo and I'm glad it turned out!

Well the mark of a great artists is the ability to see their own faults and keep plugging. Personally I never would have seen the so called jagged edges.
And don't worry about learning from other artists, every genius has to start somewhere.
