This is a checkered hat I made last week. I guess you could call it a bit of a prototype, because I was trying to figure out how best to make a checkered hat using yarn from my stash. I'm probably going to add an edging at some point because it's a little shorter than I normally like, but I still kind of like it the way it is right now.

I'm considering writing up a pattern for this, but I've never done my own pattern before and I'm not sure anyone would want it. So, random people on the Internet, would you care to see a formal pattern for this?
