I think this is the best I'm going to be able to get it before I start pulling my hair out.

Ok, maybe it's not that bad, but it's not my best either. I'm chalking this one up to a learning experience and moving on. I may revisit the original line art and try again. I think what I'm going to have to do is trace over my line art file before I start coloring rather than just painting over my original photo (see, I don't have a scanner, so I have to take a digital photo of my drawings just to post them). Oh well.
