my first lame attempt at drawing with colored pencils..i would love to get some critiques/suggestions on this piece..

It's pretty good for a first try. Colored pencils are difficult.
Try some still life observation... that helped me quite a bit to get the colors right.
also- if you can get your hands on a set of the basic Prismacolor brand pencils, they are absolutely amazing- they will blend better and have less of a scratchy look.

yep..i've heard about those Prismacolor pencils but i don't think they're available here in Australia..

i always forget that prismas are difficult to find outside of the US...
