Description
Just a quick sketch. Maybe I should try one of those 'Sketch a day' things? It's never really touched on in comics if cyborgs actual enjoy the advantages of super science. I'm sure some do. Some, like this girl dread every minute leading up to have to strapping back into these prosthetic arms.

A friend of mine made such a character for Champions RP. She chose to have a prosthetic arm instead of a cyernetic one because she didn't want to have pieces metal sticking out of her flesh. She doesn't use it as a weapon because she doesn't want to give the impression of "being" a weapon. And still it's a constant reminder of how she lost her real arm.

I came across this on Reddit and had to find the source. It looks almost like getting the new arms is a curse, like maybe she won't be able to control them once she has them.

Oh! This was on Reddit? I've never even considered that as a place where my work would show up!

It's actual;ly kind of odd to see a stoic, reflective, cyber/exo-tech art piece that isn't forced, but you have done this concept very well.

Why would she dread them? Would she prefer not to wear them?

beautiful picture nicely done and nice to see you address the concept of maybe not liking tech
i for one can see it being a weird feeling of having arms put on maybe sending new sensory info in to being confussing as suddenly having a whole new area poping up in your mind especialy if they had a sensory chip in the arms for connecting to it be confussing to some people whom don't fully adapt
very nice work again keep it up

Good to see you back in action, Hutch. Sketch a day sounds like something I should do lol. Haven't put anything original on here in forever. Excellent work with nice details hidden under the sketchiness.

I can imagine that it would really depend on the individual.
There is a book I recently read called "Soon I will be Invincible". Long story short, one of the main characters is a cyborg and she really seems to hate her bionic parts, but at the same time she knows that without them that she would be dead. It's a very interesting juxtaposition with this character and the handful of other cyborgs. It's a good, rather short, read.

Sorry about that, my mind just wouldn't let go. My best guess was she had them on when she took them off or something.
