Yes... That name is a big fat gag... And I'm pretty sure if Tex or the other Crew Members know the song they can make fun of him for it-- anyway.

Thought I crapped out on ya, didn't ya? Almost..

Name: Alejandro
Gender: Male
Race: Telkon
Height: 9'4"
Age: 783 give or take
Job: He controls all of the weapons on the ship via his mind using a special helmet and ports that he can link his tentacles up to.

Species info: Telkons are somewhat of a rare sight for other species of aliens to see. They prefer to keep themselves isolated on their home planet. Those that do venture out have the power to keep themselves hidden from others. Physically they are fragile like twigs, but in mind they are almost surpassed by no other. A seasoned Telkon has psychic and telekinetic powers one can only imagine and luckily these powers are usually only used for good. They are a peaceful race that quite literally needs to be surrounded by positive influence to survive. In a negative environment of death and hate, a Telkon will become sick, corrupted, and die. That's why they tend to keep themselves away from others who have tendencies to violence.
As you can see.. Telkons have no mouth. They speak to others through the mind and can project their 'voice' to several other peoples' minds at once if they wish to do so. They eat and breath with the use of their tentacles which are natural organic structures. Oxygen is taken in through the seams on the tentacles while they're connected to the Telkon's back ...and liquidized food is sucked up and inserted into those special holes in the back. Two specific tentacles are responsible for these jobs.
Their tentacles also have another use... and that is to help amplify their powers. They help them project their powers with more force, which is why Alejandro connects them to ports in the ship.
They are prehensile.. and can wrap around things, as well as stretch.

Reason for joining the team: Alejandro just so happened to be hiding and wallowing in his own misery and loathing on an empire supply ship when Tex suddenly showed up with his gang to raid the place. He kept himself hidden and observed them, taking note of their friendly teamwork. He also felt a faint pull towards Tex that he couldn't quite put his finger on but he knew it had to be important. Keeping himself invisible, he passed through the walls of the supply ship like a ghost and entered Tex's ship where he remained until he found an opportune moment to reveal himself to the irken. The atmosphere felt more friendly and positive as he had hoped.. and he made his offer to join him.

Personality/Personal info: Alejandro is rather jaded from life. He had been hasty and brazen in his younger days and ventured out into the universe when he was perhaps still a bit to young to withstand its violence and negativity. He eventually started to become corrupted and sick, barely managing to keep himself alive by passing from place to place like a ghost in search of decent beings to sustain himself. Joining Tex's crew was somewhat of a plea for help... but also a sense of duty... Namely to protect Tex from something as well as the others. Unfortunately, his sense of prediction and foresight is too clouded by his 'sickness' for him to grasp what it really is and tell them.
Being somewhat corrupted.. has given him a tendency to blurt out pessimistic nonsense and predictions. He is not mean and grouchy but his doom and gloom attitude can be a tad off putting. If he's not rambling negativity he's usually quiet and observant. Despite being a tad reserved, he does try to make an effort to be nice, even when he has a splitting headache after controlling the weapons on the ship to blast and destroy things.

He will get headaches after he does something that pertains to violence like using the weapons on the ship to blast another ship or blow things up... And he can't do it for too long in one sitting either. Healthy Telkons only use their powers for defense and protection at best.... Usually never offense unless completely necessary.

Random fun fact: Telkons can give 'Telkon kisses' by rubbing the tips of their tentacles on a person's cheeks.. They radiate a comforting warmth.
