Watercolor 9X14" on D'arches.Jean Alesi does his victory lap on the back of Michael Schumacher's Benetton-Renault at the Circut Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal 11 June after Alesi won the the 1995 Formula One Grand Prix of Canada. Schumacher picked him up after Alesi's car ran out of gas on the victory lap.

Spoken like a true race-fan! You know I happened to be watching the races in the middle of the night and was watching when Gilles Villenueve was killed in Holland.
Talk about a dramatic scene...MAN!...he was thrown out and into the fence and everything...
Back then on ESPN the only way you could catch a F-1 race was to get up at 3:AM. It was a ritual I got in the habit of. I caught Ayrton Senna' last race too.

Neat choice of subject! Nice sense of action.
One thing I never liked about F-1 racing in that era is that they did not put the driver names on the cars. You had to ID the driver in the car by the pattern on his helmet.
