I used polychromos pencils, watercolour pecils and grey paper ^^
oh and a tiny little bit of acrylic

I love how the tail fades into the background, and one of the flowers as well. Such smooth coloring, where did you use acrylic in this?

Thank you for your nice comment. I use the acrylic on the flower. Mostly white and a little yellow to make it pop out. With the white pencils I can never get it that white. Also the light in the eye of the bird, the beak and the left part of the bird where the light hits it. You can compare the whites by looking at the lightest part of the branch (white pencil) and then the flower (acrylic). Big difference isn't it.

Really? I thought that maybe the acrylic was used for the red! Very interesting..I can understand the white acrylic, but I never tried using white pencil (I usually use white gel pens). Thanks for sharing this! I will try pencil for once
