Looking good! I like the way the plane's design makes a nod toward the F14. But it's definitely 21st century.


As far as effects, I don't think you need a lot. Perhaps just a hint of exhaust by using the smudge feature in Photoshop.

And, is there any way to more visible pilots in there?

apologies for hijacking the thread. for sketchup your options for effects are limited and/or expensive. for example you could an advanced renderer module such as vray or indigo, or export the scene to another app like the free blender, and add a glowing cone (or something else - there are some useful tutorials on youtube or vimeo).


additionally, open the rendered image in photoshop or gimp, select a rectangular area behind the engine and apply some blur. also you could add motion blur to the background.
