LONG STORY SHORT SHE WAS A DECOY

Cacciatrice followed quietly behind the three policemen and worried townspeople who were in search of the Cardinale. She knew they wouldn’t find her with such a crowd, but it was a fundamental part in her plan.
“She’s over there! I saw her turn the corner!” Cacciatrice yelled trying to use mob mentality. Soon, they also believed that they saw her and started pointing out the fake direction. She then watched as the police calmed the crowd and ran towards the place they were pointing towards.
Cacciatrice moved quickly to the opposite roads. She summed up that the Cardinale would need to use the roadway on the opposite direction to get to her hiding spot. She stopped, noticing an obvious flaw in her plan. The police wouldn’t be in the same spot for long, and they would most likely move to where she was going.
After some time of thinking she then made a new plan that would help allow the Cardinale to successfully get to the hq without the police bothering her. It involved her being a decoy to herd the police and maybe other possible suspects to the opposite part of town, which would be a risky move.
With her new plan in mind she ran towards the road where the Cardinale was supposed to go through. Although, right when she turned the corner she was slammed into.
“Ouch.” Cacciatrice whispered, the wind was blown right out of her. There was a flash of red and black sprawled on the ground, and noticed it was the Cardinale.
“Wait, I’m on you’re side.” She said grabbing her arm before she can run. “ I need to get you to the hq for protection.”
“You can’t, the streets are teeming with police and people who want me dead. I almost thought you were one too, but I noticed you’re in Compagnia.” the Cardinale sighed, out of breath.
“Don’t worry, I have a plan, but it involves switching costumes.” Cacciatrice told her uncertainly.
“Anything that will get me away from the cops.” She laughed. “So, what’s the plan?” Cacciatrice explained in short what they needed to do. “We need to start right away, hurry, I believe that the one who was chasing me will be here soon.” she told Cacciatrice. They quickly switched outfits and separated from each other into the opposite direction.
“It feels good to run.” Cacciatriced breathed, moving straight towards where the police were.
“Hey! I see her, no joke this time!” A little boy called to the police.
“Good, good. Get the police now.” She said to herself. Just as soon as the boy called, she noticed the police coming for her.
“Stop running and no one will get hurt!” The police, who were already running out of breath, yelled to her. They all kept running, she knew that they wouldn’t dare to shoot her, since they wanted to make her capture a public display so the victims will get a sense of accomplishment.
It would take about a couple minutes for the Cardinale to get to the hq, but it would take her a while to go throughout town in a big circle.
“I was lucky, none of the people who want to kill her are coming out because the police are with me.” she said and laughed to herself.
