another attempt to make a pony railgun that makes sense. this time I think I have something that dose, for one, it looks like a real gun. XP

The idea for the Marduk is that it's a marksman rifle, simple as that. Shooting a alloy rod a high velocity, the impacts alone are explosive without the use of explosives. the two magnetic rails are housed in a non conductive polymer frame, and what metals that are used are non magnetic alloys, so that the gun dose not rip itself apart when firing.

the rods it uses for ammunition are not al that thick, favoring length, which lets it load more of the road into the magazine. Haven't put too much thought into what the rods are made of, but I'm sure they will be more complicated then just a steel rod. likely a three part alloy, with the front being something soft and meant to mushroom out on contact like holopoints, the middle being the magnetically active material, and the end being a much heavier and ridged material that both helps the rod fly striate, and pushes the rest of it through the target. Overall, a nasty peace of work to be shot by.

As for the spell cell Talisman, it just uses a bigger one to produce the high voltage needed to fire the gun. It is not to be used like a spark battery, as it will fry your cables.
