Still working on the next page, this one SFW, were Pecan moves on. Unfortunately most Hellhounds are hostile to ponies, so nonmatter how much they like her, she can't stay for her own safety.

To how she even lives or hasn't become a ghoul, the simple answer is that she technically was already a ghoul, like her mother before her, and several generations before that. Unfortunately, knowledge about Waste Ponies is scares and often mistaken for either mutations or early ghoulification. As for stable populations of waste ponies, the tend to live deep in no-pony zones and far away from other ponies due to persecution of ghouls. This is also not helped by the alicorns, who kill waste ponies on sight to prevent them from mixing with normal ponies, as they are immune to taint, and thus cannot be turned into alicorns.

Because of this, Pecan only learns about this part of herself later in life after getter a professional medical checkup.
