Description Kenneth Mars (April 4, 1935 – February 12, 2011)

In his one year aniversary. He was survived by his wife of nearly 34 years Barbara Newborn, his two daughters Susannah Mars-Johnson and Rebecca Mars-Tipton and his 6 grandchildren.

For many people he will surely be most remembered for his performances in the Mel Brookβ€˜s films The Producers (1968) as Franz Liebkind.
But for me, having been born in the 90's and a great fan of Disney's classic movies that would be King Triton, Ariel's father and King of Atlantica in the original movie and also in the sequel movie and TV series as in the KH and KH2 video games. [link]

Β I take into account the TV series, because it is a faithful and worthy prequel to The Little Mermaid.

Maybe he wasn't available or he couldn't do it at the time. I really don't know the reason.

maybe, who knows.

oh! and, uh for the record I never actually saw the Ariel prequel or the sequel... hell I've only seen the little mermaid a few months ago and... it's the frozen of it's time. not terrible just...okay. which is odd because tangled started the "next Disney Renaissance" and that is better than both of them!

If their father King Triton died, then Ariel and her sisters are orphans since Athena (their mother) died in their childhood.

I will always remeber him as the voice of King Triton I really loved him voicing Ariel's father in The Little Mermaid's media (The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea and The little tv series)
Even though I like what Jim Cummings did in The Little Mmermaid III as King Triton (and I love his work as voice actor as well) I missed Kenneth playing the role
Rest In Peace Mr. Kenneth Mars, King of Atlantica
