Remember kids! Never follow the rule of sexy in a laboratory you will regret it!As awesome as 2003 TMNT's April O'Neil is a scientist, her dress wear in the laboratory however is a little more to be desired. That is why I am making sure that people will understand the importance of laboratory safety and don't dress with fan service in mind or you will be treated as fan service.
I had fun pointing out lab safety violations and wanted to express just how bad fictional female scientists can be in lab safety with April being one of the worst. Though to be fair I did add the open toe sandals so she would get docked full points but it was just to drive a point in.

I can't tell if you're just messing around or if you're being serious. But regardless of whether or not you're joking around, April's attire for work while in the lab was pretty inappropriate. It seems to be a reoccurring thing with female characters that are scientists. It's as if to say that female characters have to not only look attractive, but dress sexy in order to be a scientist, which is bullshit by the way. I'm just glad that April's outfits changed frequently in this series. It was nice seeing her wear clothes that covered her stomach. But this April was the best adaptation of April in my opinion. I like that she was smart and pretty at the same time, and her and Donnie's relationship was more on the friend side and less on the romantic side like the annoying 2k12 series likes to suggest.

Well I am serious about the laboratory safety and the portrayal of female scientists so I wanted to point out just how wrong this is in a humorous way, so I guess a little bit of both. I do agree with everything you said, it is indeed inappropriate for April to wear and it doesn't help that this outfit is the cover image of Hot Scientist on tv tropes, thus it was the reason why I drew this in the first place! Though I do really like the 2012 series I do agree with you that the relationship between April and Donnie are better as friends, though I may be biased on that front considering that I am an aromantic asexual but that's just me.

Ahh, haha I see. Well in that case, good job! Yeah, it is pretty ridiculous how female scientists are portrayed in cartoons, and for sure April's attire isn't helping. The 2k12 series is so bleh for me. I like it, but hate it at the same time. Haha, well I guess it just depends on personal preference. I guess I prefer them as just friends and not as a couple.
