dA is stupid. I saved this as a GIF as well as a PNG so that I could put up a spoiler preview image so that I could avoid spoiling people, but apparently GIF files aren't allowed in any of the fan art related categories so I had to resort to PNG. And since PNG images aren't allowed preview images... yeah. Annoying.Anyways. I'm willing to say that PMD2 has a more emotional story than the first PMD. Though oddly enough, I didn't cry at the end of PMD2 like I did at the first game. I guess it's because when I beat PMD I was in a more emotional mood, perhaps?
Actually, PokΓ©mon Mystery Dungeon 2 could have just ended right at this scene... or still continue on, but without that last scene at the end of the credits. It would really make the game have more of an emotional impact.. though I think people wouldn't be entirely satisfied if that was the case.
This picture is not too great. I don't have much experience drawing the featured PokΓ©mon, and I had to redo Bidoof's body like twelve times before I was satisfied with it. The background's really lazy, as well. I didn't want to draw it all out, so I just put an effect on a photograph. Even so, I still like how it turned out.

"though I think people wouldn't be entirely satisfied if that was the case."
Yeah, agreed. It was a big enough risk as it was to even Disney Death on this one. I mean, that character is supposed to be YOU.

That scene made me cry like a lametard, and I didn't cry in PMD1. >_>
Very very nice shading, murhur. And both Pokemon look super-cute, especially Totodile. :3

I loved the music during the memory montage. I think that music is a big factor when it comes to crying at something, especially where a video game is concerned. I mean, I don't think I will ever cry at a book - not because books can't be emotional, but because books don't have the same audio or visual feedback that really add to the feel of the scene. ...Of course, if I'm listening to music that fits the scene while reading, that's a different story.

Read all of them, and while I was saddened by several events I didn't cry.

Perhaps - I mean, I was anticipating it the whole time. I just felt that the way PMD2 ended was a bit more emotional, because it wasn't like you were just going back to being a human again - no, you pretty much just ceased to exist.
..Which is why the scene after the credits felt like a major deus ex machina.

deus ex machina, literally "god out of a machine," - a plot device.

Yeah dA did that to my "i am your conscience" pic, which is why it ended up in Scraps automatically. D:
I had a preview image for a reason and I could only do that with a gif and now gifs aren't allowed anywhere except pixel art and then they must be tiny AAAGGHHH. DX
I love how this turned out though. Great job on Bidoof overall.

Bidoof gave me a lot of problems, but he turned out okay in the end.

Thanks, I tried a couple of new things with this picture. I seem to be experimenting a lot nowadays.
