Description
For a while now, I have been piecing together a basic plot and characters for an original property that I hope to make in the future. I do not have a proper title for it yet, but it would be in the theme of steampunk fantasy western. This is one of the main characters- Jessie Fitcher. And yeah, I did pull a lot of design elements from my rendition of Apple Jack from My Little Mages. I don't know yet what kind of medium this story will be, I'm hoping to make it into an RPG game, but if that ends up too ambitious, I'll probably make it a graphic novel.
Jessie is the heavy hitter of the group. She uses the recoil from firing her weapon to drive the blade through her targets. She is on a personal mission to hunt down the outlaw who killed her husband.

T'was intentional. I designed this whole thing to pay homage to the now defunct Wild Arms series.

Jessie looks lovely!
PS = I love who she is using her gun as a club in the line drawings.

"She is on a personal mission to hunt down the outlaw who killed her husband." Okay, that explains her... for lack of a better word disillusioned look. So was her husband murdered during or after the wedding itself? Just curious.
"She uses the recoil from firing her weapon to drive the blade through her targets." Okay, with what I know of physics and recoil, I want to know how.
"Jessie is the heavy hitter of the group." 'Looking at that downward swing pose'... yeah, I except that she'd slip a few skulls easily, may want to add some more muscle mass, but over all I think that as the story progresses, when her name is whispered grown men that don't fear the Law will start pissing themselves.

That is all that she tells people- that she is hunting down the outlaw, Mad Jack, because he killed her husband. If anyone asks for more information she tells them off. There definitely is more details to the matter but that would be spoiling the story. She joins the group on their quest because she knows that Mad Jack is looking for the same mcguffin that they are also looking for, figuring that it will help keep her on his trail. For the record, he was not murdered on their wedding day.
There is a spout on the top of the barrel of her weapon. the blast from her shots can be redirected out there causing a forceful downward motion when she pulls the trigger. It kind of works on RWBY weapon logic. As for adding more muscle mass to realistically swing that weapon around-- yeah, RWBY and anime in general logic.

"If anyone asks for more information she tells them off." I have a feeling that at some point, after some bonding she'll open up.
"She joins the group on their quest because she knows that Mad Jack is looking for the same mcguffin that they are also looking for, figuring that it will help keep her on his trail." So If I might infer about Victoria here, her family either is the lawful owner of the Mcguffin and reclaiming it will help restore her family's standing, or getting it back from Mad Jack is her doing her part for her family as the various members engage in actions meant to help restore their standings.
"It kind of works on RWBY weapon logic. As for adding more muscle mass to realistically swing that weapon around-- yeah, RWBY and anime in general logic."
I can work with that. Granted even as she, assuming real world physics, I'd wouldn't want to be at the business end of that gun.

The deal with Victoria and the mcguffin (I am literally calling it that for now until I come up with an appropriate name) is that she was once the inherited owner of Stidwell Manufacturing. However, inheriting the family company came with a large amount of dept. She took a gamble by focusing on the new continent and it's abundant energy source (naturally growing crystals that can power machinery) but was crushed by the competition. Namely Harpy Corp which aspires to monopolize all crystal mining on the new continent... by any means necessary (even contracting outlaws to terrorize their competitors). Now bankrupt, Victoria catches rumor going around of one special crystal hidden somewhere in the new continent that is told to have unlimited energy and is possibly the source of all other crystals. Whoever finds that would be wealthy and powerful beyond their wildest dreams. The search for this crystal, each for their own different reasons, is what bands the four protagonists to work together.
