Picking up a favourite when one belatedly stumbles upon your extraordinary work is a nearly impossible task... Still, among your recent output, I do find this painting especially moving : it conveys an outstanding atmosphere of poetic grace mixed with unbearable frailty, the latter only attenuated by the clear, confident gaze of the girl. With a masterful execution and a particularly efficient use of the "graphical hair" motif, this is truly remarkable art, so beautiful it is almost painful to look at.
