Description Actual fetuses...not replicas. Taken at a science museum.

No color correction done in post, just a bit of level adjustment. Scanned direct from negative at 16bit/channel color to preserve quality for larger prints.

edit: Winner of the October photo contest of the SuicideGirls.com Photography group. The theme of the contest was 'spooky'

I commented on this before, but I must again!

We had a display identical (if not the exact same one) to this in Wichita last year. It was with a "Human Body" display at the Exploration Place. Very, very cool to see, although, they didn't allow cameras.

it was a science museum. guess it's easier to justify than an art museum would ever be able to. the exhibit was to teach visitors (mostly children) the evolutionary stages of a fetus development each month of pregnancy.

really interesting, i hope to go back...with my camera of course

thanks for the comment!

That's really interesting! Where is this museum?

And I'm just curious if they got the fetuses out of mothers that had died.. stillborns.. abortions(would that be possible?).

Have fun if you do go back, gotta get more cool pictures like this one! ..and you're quite welcome!!
