Another Headcanon yay.

Shining is a Gypsy Vanner breed like Twilight and their parents. Floofy types. He didn’t get many traditional unicorn traits like Twilight though.

This is how think he’s aged over the years. As a guard, Shining would keep his mane, tail and leg feathers/fluff trimmed down and neat but since he’s mostly a retired captain now and not much for wearing armor anymore (no need to) he let it all go. Cadence likes his “overgrown” look much better anyway.

Shining has released his role of Captain of the Crystal Empire Guard to his youngest daughter. After teaching her everything he knows. He focuses on co ruling with his wife, Cadance. And being a super cool pops.
