Description
This is a drawing I did using Chri Riddell's dragon head picture from his "Doodle a Day" book. It is actually the head of Eraguff the dragon from Muddle Earth ( www.panmacmillan.com/panmacmil… ); however, as i only had the head I decided to create my own dragon body in Riddell's style.

Done with 0.05 UniPin liner pen and some pencil On a double page of my little sketchbook (page centre edited out by the photoshop noob.......myself).
Im very pleased with the result and believe it is suitably ridiculous.

So here's some info I have discovered about the Scaled Snuffdrop:

The Scaled Snuffdrop is a medium sized dragon about which little is known. They have never been observed eating, drinking or moving (except the rare instance where they may twitch a wing or reposition their foot). It is assumed that their lack of mobility is due to their laziness which is in turn caused by sitting around smoking Firebane. This herb is known to act as a strong relaxant on the creatures. As such, over time, their legs and wings have diminished in size leaving them relatively immobile.

As well as the size alteration of their limbs their tongue has devolved into the pipe shape we see in all modern Snuffdrops. This is widely thought to be a result of not being able to lift a pipe to their mouths with their smaller legs and being too lazy to try. As mentioned earlier the feeding habits are entirely unknown although it is theorised that, due to their motionless lifestyle, they may catch birds or rodents that venture too near.

They have very few natural predators as the active ingredient from their smoking habits remains in their bodies for many years and accumulates over their life. This means that any animal that chooses to make a meal out of a Snuffdrop quickly becomes just as lethargic and bone idle as the Snuffdrop itself. This of course makes them easy targets for further predators and so the doping effect continues up the food chain until the concentration of Firebane has reduced enough not to adversely affect the consumer.
