Description Took a long while for an update of that one eh?

But I have to say I might not do the rest of them(if I draw them) in colors. Kinda takes a while >_>

Still, we finally got a bit of unliking as to what they've been planning...

---

And more or less of a writers' block on NT3 for the time being >_> So you'll have to be patient.

All the present characters belong to Blizzard Entertainment. This is merely my own representation of them in such form.

Doing nothing = Just let them deal with it themselves. Interesting choice, but probably the best thing to do.

Personally I wonder if there is some mythological background ( which is often the case with things ) behind the Aspects or if they are really just Warcraft Characters. Google does not help at all.

To be honest, I am not sure what was used as inspiration for the idea of the Dragon Aspect in the Warcraft lore. I know the Warcraft lore has inspired itself out of LOTS of varied stuff in so many ways it makes it hard to keep track of it. And usually, the more 'popular' characters or events in the lore may be easier to know what the inspiration came from. The Aspects never were truly shown a lot in the Warcraft lore, despite their obviously important place in it.

But that might change up soon enough with the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion of Cataclysm...where the fifth Aspect is going to show himself up after years of hiding...And utterly reshape the whole world of Azeroth in fire with his return.

But still, if you wanna look more into the lore yourself, there's still the WoWwiki : [link]

Also, take note that timeline-wise, events here would be happening before the events of the WoW game.

Hmm, juding by what you told me and the lack of info on the WoW Wiki regarding the background, it is very likely that they mixed several myths for it, including dieties guarding over several aspects of life and Asian myths about high ranked Dragons, the Dragon Kings ( which also spawned the "Four Great Dragons" in Digimon ). Asian Dragons are also often able to shift into human form, which the Dragon Aspects also do, or atleast into humanoid forms...So yes, I would say they are mixed Mythology.

So it takes part before WoW? Guess they decided to play WoW instead. XD

Chronologically, this would be happening between the time period of events between the end of Warcraft 3 : The Frozen Throne and the beginning of the events of World of Warcraft.

And as for the dragons themselves, while it is true there are no true specific myths that is 100% relating to them, one can indeed see the mix of several myths, such as europeans dragons and asian ones mixed together. The Warcraft dragons look more like the european ones, the classical evil dragons taken down by knights, but at the same time they clearly have the grand wisdom that those asian dragons have. This also mirrors how the Warcraft dragons are beings that can be both incredibly wise and also potentially savage.

Not sure about the Warcraft Timeline, as I don't play it, but the background mix for the Dragonaspects clearly makes sense.
