"Why didn't you tell me?"

You felt fire coursing through your veins at Levi's question. "What the fuck kind of question is that?! I've been trying to talk to you for weeks!"

"I needed time," he weakly replied

"Well you could have fucking told me that! I thought you..." you choked back your tears "I thought you hated me, I thought you didn't want me anymore,"

You pitiful cries sounded eerily throughout the room. It was like the dam in your eyes had been breached and there was no stopping the waterfall of tears that followed. All the pain that had been building, that had been crushing you was finally coming out. "Do you love me?" you finally managed to say.

You felt warm arms encircling you from behind as he nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. "I'm sorry," his whisper was barely audible but through your choked sobs you still heard it.

Wrenching out of his grasp, you stared him down "After everything you put me through, that's all you have to say?" Your words were cut off with the pressure of his lips. Still it wasn't good enough as you hastily pushed him away. "God, are you really so stubborn you can't even say it?"

"You don't understa-"

"Well explain then!"

"The last person I said that too was killed...by you,"

Your breath hitched with his words, your heart splitting in two. Just those words alone you knew that it could never work between you too. There would always be some resentment on his part and loving you would only be second best to him. Seeing the emotion in your face, Levi closed the distance between you. Sensing his intentions you backed away, that is until your back hit the wall. You tried to sidestep around you but his arms quickly cut off your exits.

"Let me go!" you demanded, pushing him into his chest. He held himself firm though, not even budging in the slightest at your action.

"Please listen to me," he pleaded, the emotion in his eyes was enough to stop you from struggling. It wasn't often that he showed it to you so you knew he must be serious.

"Okay," you reluctantly oblige.

"Do you remember what you told me the other day, about how you became human again?"

"Yeah," your voice raised with his question.

"You said that the human willingly gave up their life for you. Was this true? Did Natasha give up her life for you?"

"Yes," you replied softly "She knew she was going to die and she wanted to give me a new chance at life, as a human I mean,"

"I see," Levi replied, releasing you from the wall.

"And?" you question. "Does that change your opinion of me? Do you still see me as a monster?"

"I never saw you as that," he answered

"I would," you eyes fell "I took away the one you loved,"

"That wasn't your fault and even if it was...I still wouldn't care,"

"Why not?" you questioned

Reaching out, Levi cradled your face "Because you make me smile, [Name],"

LEEEVVVVIIIII!

Your moment was short lived as Hanji burst through the door with Eren right behind her. "I'm sorry [Name]! I couldn't hold her back anymore," he panted "She's really strong,"

"It's okay Eren," you smile gratefully as the boy slumped against the wall in exhaustion.

"So have you two made up yet?" Hanji piped up

You and Levi looked to each other for a moment, searching each other's eyes for the answer. "Yes," you replied together.

"Oh good!" Hanji beamed "Cause we still need to come up with baby names!"

"Hanji!" you yelled as Levi's face went white. It was clear that he had forgotten about the whole incident. Luckily Hanji was quick to help you put him on the bed before he passed out. "Are we even sure that I am pregnant?" you ask once Levi was stable again. "I mean I haven't had any symptoms yet and it's too soon for my monthly per...well you know,"

"Ah I see," Hanji replied "Well in that case it may still be too soon, but I can do some tests if you want,"

"Like what?" you asked nervously

"Well I'd need do do a urine and a blood test,"

"Why do you need her pee? You sicko scientist,"

Hanji snickered at Levi's remarks. You just shook your head and sighed. It was pretty adorable, although a bit pathetic, on how little Levi knew about the female body...but then again he had no reason to know before now.

"Well, when a woman gets pregnant, certain hormones are increased in her body. I can test to see if those hormones have been elevated. It'll take me a bit to get all the supplies I need so you'll have to sit tight in the meantime. Also you should not do anymore more titan shifting until we know for sure. Don't want anything going wrong and hurting my future niece or nephew," she winked "Let's get going Eren!"

Without another word the two of them were gone. Slowly you turned towards Levi who, thankfully, was looking less pale than before. "Hey, it's going to be alright" you say as you caress his hand. "I mean, we don't even know for sure-"

"I love you,"

"Wha...What?" You stutter. That was pretty much the last thing you expected him to say.

Turning towards you, Levi's warm eyes captured your own. "No matter the outcome, I love you,"

You felt your eyes blur with his words, those three words you have been longing to hear from him. "I love you too Levi," you cry as you wrap your arms around him "I've loved you for so long now,"

"I'm an idiot for not saying it sooner,"

"Yeah you are," you laugh before meeting his lips in a gentle kiss.

After a week of waiting for the test results, Hanji summed the two of you to her office. As soon as you entered she jumped from her seat with arms outstretched "IT'S A BOY!" she belted at the top of her lungs.

"What?" You gape at her. "How do you know that?"

"Okay, I don't know for sure," she admitted reluctantly "I just want it to be a boy, wouldn't a baby Levi be so cute?"

"So does that mean?" Levi hesitantly asked

"Yup," she beamed "You two are going to be parents!"

A mixture of emotions surged through you with her words, ranging from happiness to fear. You were so consumed with the hurricane of feelings you didn't realize that Levi had kneeled down beside you until he took your hand. "Huh?" you gasp as you looked down at him, realization finally sinking in.

"[Name] will you marry me?"

"L-Levi, I..." you were so overwhelmed at the situation you didn't know what to say

"I know it's sudden, but I want to do this properly. There's no one else I want to spend the rest of my days with, no one else I want to start a family with. I want to the world to know how much I love you. So will you do me the honor, and-"

"Yes,"

Levi's face grew three shades darker at your answer. "Really?"

"You thought I was going to say 'No'?"

"Well, yes actually" he admitted bashfully.

"Oh Levi, you're such an idiot sometimes," you sigh before bending down to meet his lips.

AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

The two of you flinched at Hanji's ear piercing cries of joy. Levi was quick to react though as he pushed the overbearingly happy woman out of the door. One the door was locked, he turned back to you and took your hand. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a silver ring and slipped it on your finger. Your eyes widened when you realized the words 'I love you' were etched into the metal. Clutching your mouth, you stifle a cry at it's words. "Now you'll never forget," he whispered as he planted a kiss on your forehead.

Much to Hanji's dismay, the two of you were married in private. She of course was there because she was the officiant. You didn't want anyone stopping you from marrying Levi, or rather you didn't want Erwin stopping you. He was bound to find out when he saw your ring but by then it wouldn't matter since you were leaving the Corps. As much as you loved being a soldier and fighting for freedom, you couldn't risk your unborn child's safety. Luckily your new home wasn't too far away from Head Quarters so Levi would be able to come home to you after work.

Hanji of course would help out since she had already designated herself as Aunt to your child. Eren helped out as well since he was the only other one that knew about the pregnancy. Needless to say you were rarely alone which was especially helpful when you started getting sick. The next 8 months were grueling as you could barely function from the pain. Hanji assured you that it was normal but you didn't quite believe her. She was knowledgeable on many things but she wasn't a doctor but with the town still devastated from Annie and Eren's battle. Doctors were in short supply.

After one particularly painful day, you decided to ask for Hanji's opinion.

"May I?" she asked as she laid her hand on your stomach. As soon as her hand made contact a terrible spasm shot through you abdomen. Hanji's eyes lit up "I think I just felt a kick!" she grabbed a hold of your trembling hand and placed it on your stomach. "Do you feel it too?" At first you felt nothing, but then something moved inside of you causing you to gasp in surprise. Hanji's grin widened at your expression. "Won't be much longer now. I wonder if he'll be a titan shifter as well," she added with a twinkle in her eye.

"You are not allowed to do experiments on our child!" A voice threatened from behind you.

"Ah Levi, you're home" Hanji smiled while motioning him to her. "Here you gotta try this," she continued while placing his hand on your stomach. Not a moment later you felt another painful kick, this time to your ribs.

"It's got quite a kick," you hissed between your clenched teeth.

Levi looked at you worriedly "Are you alright?"

"He's a fighter, just like his daddy," Hanji elbowed Levi's side. "But hey, don't worry, I'm sure [Name]'s body can handle it. Heck if she can transform into a titan then she can definitely handle this," she patted your hand for reassurance "Everything's going to be fine,"
