So far, Bats! is probably my favorite episode of Season 4. I think I also consider it a favorite over any of the Season 3 episodes, too.Even before Flutterbat showed up, I was really enjoying the episode. It had a lot of good moments and I laughed a lot. Flutterfangs just pushed it over the top.
I am totally okay with Vampershy returning in the future.

Don't let Twilight get you messed up, vampires drinks the blood of their own species, which is usually human in that case, and animal blood makes them weaker. As a pony, it would be more appropriate to drink the blood of other ponies than other animals.
