This is Slipaway, the second tf character I ever drew back in 2017 (first finished was Pulse bc she's got less details lol).

Slipaway is the leader of a group of ex-Decepticons called The Crew who he also used to know before the war. He and members of The Crew used to fight in illegal fighting rings. For many years Slipaway was the highest ranked fighter, until he and several others were able to buy their way out of the ring life and escape - a move he and his SIC Blitzdust coordinated which earned Slipaway his name, as the rebel who led one of the most surprising and clever escapes pulled off in the rings. The escape enabled several of the most brutal and devastating fighters to slip past ring-owned regulations, hitmen, and even city guards until they found a secure home in the same city Slipaway eventually met Pulse in. The group helped free several other fighters over the years, some of whom joined them, all while staying mobile and untraceable. Slipaway's growing connections during that time allowed the group into the weapon and information market. The Crew became a force to be reckoned with, and they gained a reputation for their varied and reliable services, well worth the high price tag.

With the rise of the Decepticon faction, Slipaway hesitated to immediately enlist The Crew. Eventually they joined up after The Crew's skills in information brokering and weapon acquisition and distribution were requested in person. With the aid of their new Decepticon comrades, the illegal rings The Crew had been fighting to dismantle were crushed. The remaining fighters either joined the Decepticons as specialized fighters or The Crew directly. Slipaway and The Crew remained with the Decepticons for many years, only breaking away after the Exodus. The Crew escaped to neutral space - damaged, low on fuel, but alive - and began a new life hauling cargo across the galaxy. Slipaway received flack for his decision to run by some members of The Crew, but the group lived in relative peace (not counting any Autobot patrols or skirmishes they occasionally run into) for some time. Though the reputation The Crew builds is nowhere near as prominent as the one they'd cultivated on Cybertron, they have a steady stream of credits and the universe at their fingertips. It is Slipaway's decision many years later that allows Ember-rune, Neoscape, and Stormwall to join the crew despite their young age and dubious origin.
