Thought I'd try a different 3d program this is called openFX. It is an OSS program (open source software- ie freeware to you and me)

This program is robust and classic in means of 3d creation and design.
From : Animator, Designer, Renderer, and Animations. It does a great job.

While ment to be a 3d gaming industry entry level program. It does modeling very well. As most programs with the like this program has pluggins for the normal 3ds, dxf, etc. extensions.

To the beginner this program is downloadable with demo and tutorial like how to's. A 40meg file size.
It also has a basic standard with out the fru foo. around 9megs. To the beginner as usual the interface will look intimidating and hard. To the veteran this interface is deemed slow and sluggish (those of you that got used to the mouse short cut interfaces, etc.) I give it a 3 on a 10 scale.

About the desktop wallpaper, model, and render. This was rendered with POVRAY. The Texture map is done by me, with gimp2.2 The model is obviously created with OpenFX. (RAW : JPG wallpaper 1280x960 here : [link] : )

Why did I do this? I wanted to show that there is a plentiful resources for those that wanted to create 3d like stuff. It is suggested that you download a rendering software engine. Like POVRAY,
