COMMENTS:

Lester's mail-order poster is an enlarged copy of one of Kasumi's old publicity stills from the original release of Dead or Alive 2: Beach Volleyball (© Tecmo).  It's a video game celebrity cameo of sorts, as well as an indirect nod to the fact that I use modified video game character models to make this comic strip.

Nick and Nora --> Nick and Nora Charles, from the classic Thin Man series of adventure/detective movies from the 1930s and 1940s, and originally created by famed pulp detective novel writer Dashiell Hammett (The Maltese Falcon) in his novel The Thin Man (1934).  The comparison is an apt one on Lester's part in one sense, in that Nick and Nora were known for their lively banter during their various adventures, and Larry and Brandy both have a lot of fun (as opposed to adventuring ... so far) and tend to talk a lot whenever they're together.

Lester's last "stunt" involving poor Jim Cozort happened at the start of Episode 3, "Talk Talk."  There's probably been at least one more since, given that almost two months have passed in story terms since the first episode, "The New Neighbor."  No wonder Larry (and Brandy) decided to head Lester off at the pass this time.

The Richland Townhomes swimming pool is part of the original set model as created by Rich McNintch and friends.  It's on the backside of the property, behind the apartment building that houses units 5-8.  You can occasionally see it in some of my wide shots, and I have tentative plans for an episode featuring the Richland Townhomes swimming pool in a future episode.  I have no plans as yet for the playground that's across from the pool, and behind the building that houses units 1-4 (where Larry and Brandy live).
