For those of you just tuning in, both Danny and Kathy Tippet are longtime friends of Larry. Danny is the cook, and you can just barely see him in the background in one of the panels above. Larry, Danny, and Kathy all went to high school together, per Season One's "A Night to Remember," and Danny and Kathy got married after graduation before going into the restaurant business. Larry took Brandy to the new location for their diner (it was originally at another location) for his first date with Brandy, per the same episode. The new Danny's Diner became a favorite of theirs, and they've gone back there several times during the series. You might remember them bringing Jim here with Brandy's sister Terri on his first date with her in Season Two's "My Fair Cozort." Kathy had to stay in the background in that episode due to ... well, go read the story to find out. Because of that I'm going to let Kathy be the featured staffer at Danny's Diner in this episode.

The Tippets were invited guests of the groom (Larry) at Larry and Brandy's wedding. Look for them on page 3 of "Wedding Bells," the Season Three opener, first panel, upper left corner, the two seated closest to the center aisle of the church on the fourth pew from the front on that side. That's where they first met Jennifer and Lester, and we can safely assume for now that Larry and Brandy recommended Danny's Diner to them during the reception. I'll probably try to squeeze this into some dialogue at some point to make it official.

Danny Tippet is played by Blondie from the Bioshock series. Kathy Tippet is played by Resident Evil: Outbreak's Cindy Lennox.

They don't serve any wine ... - Jennifer Ames has a long-standing habit of having a single glass of good wine with her evening meal, which she will slowly sip or drink through the entire meal so as not to get drunk (author's aside - this is probably for health reasons, go look it up for yourself). Brandy had to take this into account when she introduced Larry to her mother for the first time in Season One's "Meet the Folks." That's why they ate at another local restaurant for that occasion, the upscale Cafe de Elan, since it had a small stock of good wines from which her mother could choose on that occasion.

For you XPS artists, I use two custom sets for Danny's Diner. The exterior is a generic one built around a generic diner building ported for XPS use by TrashBoiAlex ...

... but combined with parts from at least three other street scene models so I wouldn't have to use it by itself. The interior was originally released by TheFil; I rebuilt the missing front end and custom-retextured some bathrooms for it, then had a limited release of it for the XPS crowd a while back. I no longer have it available for public download; however, Google 3D Warehouse uber-model thief modelfundgrube ported it to SketchUp without the permission of either me or TheFil. Here's a link to his version (you'll have to re-port it back to XPS or OBJ to use it):
