Description

The final scene of Chapter 11 of the final retail novel, which is the next-to-last chapter, has RAF Bomber Command showing up in force at the Alpenfestung with two full flights of Lancasters carrying Tall Boys, and with full Mosquito escort. Group Captain Lantham and his fellow flyers are delivering the haymaker following the previous night's feint by the American Eighth Air Force. This time it's for the money, they're only fifteen minutes out from target, and the signals from all of the homing transmitters planted by Jack's commando team are coming in loud and clear. It's only a matter of time now ....

I was going to remake this (but never did) because I was unhappy with the Lancaster CG model I had at the time, which is a fan effort that I ported from the Silent Hunter series. I later ported a far better one from Blazing Angels 2 but never got around to remaking this and probably never will. If any of you want to do so, feel free ... although you might consider figuring out how to work in imagery of the Barvarian Alps below for reference purposes. Just an idea.
