For the up-and-coming second season of my Star Trek - New Vistas web comic series.

Yes, I have my custom STFC version of the late Grace Lee Whitney (GLW) as Janice Rand, and I went to a lot of trouble both to get and make that, but I've decided to stick with my own Miss Cupcake in the role instead for STNV. After all it's my web comic (grin), and I've got another role in mind for my ported GLW model. "What is that?" you ask. You'll find out once the time comes. No spoilers!

Rand's legs have higher gloss because she's wearing skin-colored panty hose. This is closer to what's actually seen on screen in both TOS and TAS than the darker STFM-style hose I used for the Starfleet ladies in Season One of STNV. I dunno ... maybe I should go dull instead of gloss?

The skirt isn't rigged, but it's just like the true miniskirt from the series and I can work around that with careful posing. I'd personally prefer the longer dress uniform skirt as seen worn by Lt. Areel Shaw in "Court-Martial," but you go with what you've got. Still need to add Rand's two narrow silver rank stripes on her sleeves identifying her as a CPO in the STNV continuity. At least she's passing basic posing tests even with landing party gear, and that's a good thing considering she's on landing party detail in Season Two's first episode. Adding the rank stripes can come later.

Those are high-quality TOS-accurate props Rand has on her, BTW, thanks to my patched version of XNALara XPS 11.8.9 being able to address more memory. If you're like me and still using the old versions for whatever reasons (11.8 or lower), find and use the LAA or 4 GB Patch utilities on your XPS main executable (xps.exe). It helps a LOT with both big scenes and high quality models. Users of the newer version (11.9) don't have to do this, since the patch has already been added.
