Description
For my personal use only, of course (awwwwwww!) The one OBVIOUS omission in the ported Star Trek Fleet Command set of TOS character models that are floating around out there has now been addressed.
This one was a long time coming, and I have four people to thank for helping me in making it happen. X-N-A for various odds and ends, mylochka for the recreated custom Rand hair, and both FleetAdmiral01 (port from Poser) and especially Marceleivesky (port to XPS and re-rigging) for their assistance in bringing to XPS this rigged CG model of the late, great Grace Lee Whitney as Janice Rand. 'Nuff said there. She's fully rigged and fully poseable, and made to work with the STFC TOS character models I had ported for my own private XPS use. That's why I didn't use a recreated Poser or Daz TOS uniform (they're too smooth and "nice" and most have issues with the collar). I had to alter the textures for the STFC Uhura uniform dress for Rand and correct the division insignia badge while I was at it, but all in all it came out very nice, as you can see above.
Oh, and to whoever did the Poser recreation of Grace, THANK YOU!!!
This one is for all of my fellow GLW fans old and new over the years. We still remember you Grace, wherever you are now, and you'll always be part of our classic Star Trek experience.
Now that you folks know it CAN be done (and if it can be done for XPS then it can be done for GMOD and SFM too), who among you is going to do it for everyone else?
P.S. - The STFC TOS uniform dress can also be used with other female bodies, and its colors can also be swapped out provided you add a separate division badge object to replace the one on the tunic texture. Separate the boots as separate objects, and then you can fit them to the feet of whatever body you're using for the dress. Don't forget the lower panty/brief that comes with it, as it is also officially part of the uniform (numerous on-screen examples, see also the SFTM).
