Episode 1 - "Prelude"

COMMENTS
You might remember Ken Jackson from Autumn Spring Season 2's "Brandy's Big Chance." He was the AAP executive who gave Brandy her first chance at being a music star, one that she passed on to her twin sister Terri in order to stay with Larry and be a wife and mother instead. Almost a quarter-century later, at the end of the series in its final episode, Season 3's "Love Eternal," we learned that Mr. Jackson had not forgotten Brandy, and about a year after Larry's death from old age offered her a second chance at being a music star. She took it that time and went on to become a very successful adult contemporary singer (the kind that does past pop hits, old standards and older music, etc.) per the final paragraph of the Season 3 novelization, Wedded Bliss. By this time some three decades or more and a head full of grey later Ken Jackson is now the president of Associated Artists, which is why he's fussing over contracts and financial statements and such. He and Brandy have remained good friends all this time (and nothing more, I should say). This will be the older Mr. Jackson's only appearance in ToAS, although I intend for us to hear a bit more about him and how he's doing these days later on. We'll see. BTW Ken Jackson is being played by Andre Richardson from Sega's Yakuza series. The model disappeared for individual downloading when eddiehimselfstolemyu, the original port-er, closed his dA account and moved on years ago. Fortunately a couple of folks saved all of his Yakuza series releases and re-upped them, and you can find them in pack form (with Andre hopefully in there somewhere, can't tell you where) with a simple search.
Some of you young pups might be wondering how Brandy can be a grandmother and still have a successful singing career. A LOT of music performers in all formats and in all venues keep performing well into their golden years. The late Tina Turner is an excellent example. She was 83 and still performing when she passed unexpectedly earlier this year, and at that time she was widely regarded as one of the music industry's greatest female artists. Brandy's only in her late 50s or early 60s in comparison (I'm not saying which).
