You'd have been fired - Nobody likes negative publicity, especially a law firm. Both their business and their client list depends a lot on their good reputation, and Jodie's already been warned before about her behavior. See "Adjustments," the premiere episode of the season of the regular Autumn Spring web comic.

Roger Dewey - The founder and seniormost partner of DCH Associates P.A. -- where Jodie, Kimmy, and Brandy work and Alan is at this point in time the newest junior partner.

No man in his right mind will put up with an emotionally unstable and always jealous woman-child for long. - Do I hear any AMENs! in the audience? (wink) Some personal experience speaking there from the author from decades ago (sad sigh). Of course, bear in mind that the shoe fits on the other foot too (my nod to my female fans), but we're dealing with the first foot in Jodie's case. I also have to emphasize that key phrase with regards to both feet: in his [or her] right mind. Talk amongst yourselves.

BTW, that car you see Jodie and Kimmy standing in front of its Jodie's old second-hand 1970s-ish Toyota Corolla from the regular Autumn Spring web comic. Like a lot of folks, she bought a "beater" (a cheap older model used car) to drive around so she could save her money for more important things. Here's a link to the relevant page from the first season episode "A Secondary Interlude," which takes place after this tale and after Jodie did what she had to do in order to finally get Alan's attention. Anyway, its back half depicts the first time Alan invited Jodie to his home and contains the reference to her car. We join their conversation in progress ....
