Description
I am not sure how many dead baby photos one needs to see before they reach their limit. Killing only creates more obstacles to overcome on all sides before peace can be achieved. The more people are killed the more people are created that truly want to kill in revenge. This is why there is no end to violence when violence is used. I know it seems that nothing can be done to bring peace to the Middle East since all sides believe the other seeks out the total elimination of their people. I do not know what the answer is to overcome all the hatred but I do know it is possible. I have seen programs used in the past that were very powerful in bringing understanding and compassion to Israeli and Palestinian children living in Israel and Palestine. These great gains have always been destroyed by subsequent conflicts that kill each others friends and families. I am not sure if programs like these are part of the answer but I do know that killing for peace is not the answer because it does not work. My main gripe with the US supporting Israel is that Israel is using this support to violently attack their enemies. If the US were supporting any of the Arab nations or groups that are attacking Israel I would of course be against that as well. My desire is for the US is to promote communication on all sides, communications that will lead to an end of the violence. What: Lebanese protest denouncing the US supported Israeli bombings of Lebanon
When: July 29th 2006
Where: Miami, Florida USA at The Torch of Friendship

The Israeli-Arab/Palestinian conflict has gone on for too long. Propaganda about this whole thing( particularly from Carlos Latuff and DA) are fucking awful. This conflict need to have a peace talks so that we can all go on with our lives and know that there's atleast some peace in the middle east.

I love all of your pictures!
I like that you capture the real moments in life and that your pictures aren't posed + the fact that they're black and white + the sharpness and detail + the settings
Truely beautiful, browsing through your gallery makes me want to pull out my scetchbook!

thank you...thank you so much for this...i was recently having a debate about "an eye for an eye" and how i think of it as wrong and pointless...more violence WILL NOT END THE VIOLENCE...it will create more...the description is amazing, great job...if you're interested in reading the back and forth conversation i recently mentioned please ask again, well done...i am so incredibly sick of seeing people killed...i had to live through the war in lebanon and IT'S NOT FAIR...i am so unbelievably happy i experienced all of it...i have evolved as a person because of it...

There is a little phrase that says "Don't believe everything you read" and that goes for the Bible as well as any other how to manual. These books are written by man and man in flawed, even me if that can be believed
Never give up on peace, it is the only option

I would like to point out a few things. First, if you want to really a really sad story about a Lebanese girl, please see my page here, and read the most recent journal. Secondly, Lebanese people are absolutely beautiful people, and always have been. Third, the Lebanese have had to fight and defend their little spot in the world (and it's not big) for over 5,000 years. They need this was about as much as we need the Iraq war. If you ever see a Lebanese person on the street, and you're not sure whether they're Lebanese or not, simply ask him or her. They are also a very proud group of people and will not hide their roots. Once you've established they are infact Lebanese, apologise for all of us normal people who are sick and fucking tired of Israel bossing the Middle East around because the U.S. allows them to do it.

i often wonder what historians will say about these current events. will they attach labels such as "holocaust" or "genocide"?
food for thought, i suppose.

How many have to die?
Only a few million more before we call it a Holocaust.

Wow, she's so pretty. I love her eyes. Her gentle hold on the signs makes me feel like all she's asking is that and never another thing her entire life. I might like it a bit better if the background was not as clear, but I like this shot a lot.

you know the way she held the sign really caught my attention too... she was so gentle about the way she displayed them and even the way she held her head... very graceful.
