Bugmon is the quintessential Digimon. It is designed for electronic infiltration and is equipped with advanced software for programming, hacking, strategics, etc. Bugmon is extremely small at only 8 inches in height. Though small, Bugmon can still pack quite a punch! However, it does not enjoy fighting. It will only do so to protect its tamer or to defend other innocent Digimon. Bugmon is a kind and caring Digimon, having defensive capabilities and the ability to heal. This Digimon would rather help others than battle.
This is my first deviation in nearly EIGHT years! Meet Bugmon, my fanmade Digimon partner of over 11+ years. ππ
I created Bugmon long before my beginning here on DeviantArt. He means a lot to me, and he will always hold a very special place in my heart.
If you remember my art from before, please feel free to read my recent journal entry to learn what I've been doing all these years and why I'm finally back. Hoping that sharing my art again will help me continue to be creative and artistically inspired. π¨

Aw! Thanks, RSC-Cooper-Inc ! I love his little arms, but worried that others wouldn't. So I thank you for the comment and the validation.

Thanks, GuyverSnake . I created Bugmon years ago, but have received similar comments since sharing again. Appmon are adorable, though! So I donβt mind.

Cute. Isn't it a bit strange though if a digimon called Bugmon, who digivolves into Virusmon, is actually a data type? Considering what he's designed for, he (it?) should be a virus type.

Bugmon's attribute changes to Virus upon Digivolution.
Computer bugs aren't necessarily harmful. Computer viruses, however, are. Does that make sense?

Not one bit. Bugs are always harmful, as they are not a designed function of the program. Anything that does not work as designed in a computer system is considered harmful. Plus, you say it is designed to infiltrate computers. That's exactly the function of a virus.

βA computer bug is an error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.β
βA computer virus is a type of malicious software program that, when executed, replicates itself by modifying other computer programs and inserting its own code. When this replication succeeds, the affected areas are then said to be "infected" with a computer virus.β
Bugs are not intentional, viruses are. Infiltration does not equal annihilation.
Bugmonβs line is based on data, viruses, and antivirus software. Itβs a cute robot Digimon that is representative of computer technology.
