Description
I need to stop myself from taking pictured of RosesBut here is yet another one
I just don't have anything else around me to photograph currently. Maybe sometime soon...
I like the DoF in this one. How the focus kind of fades as it goes to the edges of the photo

I really like the cropping of this photo. Obviously there are lots of photos of roses out there because they are such a popular flower, but I don't usually see yellow ones (or is it white?)

Thank you for your comment
It is a white rose, tinged yellow from the sun.
And I didn't do any cropping on this, its straight from the camera.

when I say cropping I mean cropping either from editing or just what you chose when taking the photo, sorry for the confusion
That must have been such a lovely flower! I've never seen a white rose in person before.

Absolutely love white roses. I agree with you on this, the DoF is nicely done.

You said you were looking for composition help, so here it goes:
I would have taken the picture straight from above (it seems taking at an angle now) and use the 'rule of thirds' ([link] ) making it look like [link]

This one is really nice. I usually don't like frames but in this case it matches somehow to the photo. I'm always trying to make my boyfriend understand that I prefer white/yellow roses but he still keeps buying red ones for me. I believe that yellow and white roses are much more elegant. Just like this one

A nice picture. There's nothing at all wrong with floral/macro shots and you've got some good ones there.... A tripod or monopod is a good idea, but I find I get some great pictures even when I forget my tripod. You can always look for something steady and handy (railings, rocks, tree stumps) to support your camera. Keep up the nice work!

Love the subject, but I think the composition would be a little better with the centre of the rose slightly off centre of the frame. I read a comment above about focusing, have you considered using a tripod and manual focus?

I have the tendancy of taking alot of flower pics when I have nothing left to photograph aswell.
Very nice picture, reminds me of a wedding.

Awesome! So beautiful, and like crudd said, it's still very simplistic.

Very simplistic yet complex.
Do you just take your camera up close to the top of the rose or something?

Pretty much, lol
I do a bit of zooming in, but mostly I just have to get up close and hope my camera focuses properly
