I was inspired to draw this after watching an awesome episode of the original 90's X men cartoon in which Wolverine and Storm were married in an alternate reality and had to change history for a better world, but it meant that they would not be together. [link] ( 2 parts starts here, watch it!)

I decided to draw them in the style of the new catroon. Used a screen shot from the old show for the reference then found some screen shots from wolverine and the x men to get these two looking right. Drawn on paper first and then coloured in photoshop. Credit to my lovely boyfriend for skecthing the arms out for me. (I did the hands though) as the arms I drew really sucked. Check out his gallery [link]

I added a background and some stars and made them look faded as if they were fading away as history changed.

Characters Wolverine and Storm belong to Marvel/Disney

Got the idea for the title from the Metallica song 'Nothing else matters' [link] I think the lyrics apply well.
