A chess set I made in about 4 hours, rendering took about 40 minutesI added my usual themes into this as you can see, I tried to make the pieces look unique and also kinda mad it look like they could actually harm the other pieces
the queen has a halo because as I stated before I really think of angels has powerful beings not goody goody religious characters. and the queen is a powerful piece
the knights, when I think of them I think of dragoons because they can jump over people to get to their target
so I made the piece so it would be like a dragoon jumping the enemy

I particularly like the color scheme. Looks like something you would find on a Mac XD. Aqua and silver, you know. Goes nicely with the sky background,
The "Advanced Critique Encouraged": The pawns all look slightly off-place (they are all in the corners of there boxes, instead of the center). I would come up with a different look for the bishops, it is kind of hard to render all those floating bits so all the bishops look slightly different. You should try moving the camera to the center of one of the sides, slightly above the board. Then we could see all the pieces more clearly.

Finally, a game that's not a video game that actually looks like fun to play. o_O; The chess board of yours here looks awesome--very realistic. Your time and effort was well spent.

Hey babe... god you have such a beautiful mind... I would buy this set immediately... I used to play chess all the time, though my biggest goal was to finally beat my master (Grandfather) I never managed it. ^^ I had exactly 11 different sets, some quite valuable, all gifts from people, now.. I have two, and left most of the special ones in Germany. This is amazing Zack.
