I probably should have commented on this painting right away...
The brush you used most of the time for this one looked kind of square, with flat endings of strokes, and I really liked its effect. Was it one of your custom textures? Maybe it's something very simple, but I can't seem to achieve the same effect on my brushes.

Yes, it's the one named 'vertical sponge'. Constant size, flow and opacity controlled by pen pressure, and relatively low spacing, ~5% or so.
I'm under the impression that you're using Photoshop. If this is the case I can just put together a .abr you can just install if you'd like.
