Sorry for the long wait. this took me quite some time to finish. I got layed back by some minor business but at the final steps I went all out to finish it. For those of you who don´t understand this joke or have not seen the movie its based on I warn ahead for spoilers.Well, if half of the lives in all of the universies would perish by Thanos, RWBY´s world would certainly not be an exception I believe. While enjoying live normallly, out of the blue, you or some people close to you suddenly perish right in front of you. It is indeed pretty messed up.
But since I am more of a comedy route guy in my stories I let the scenarios circle around in Yang´s head at the end lol.

I know he can't do it, I've read the comics and even have the JLA/Avengers crossover, but I still expected to see people do it anyway in fan art.

Yeah, it was, though in hindsight doesn't make much sense knowing Darkseid. He would either first try to find a way to get it to work in his universe, or use it to search the universe it came from to see if the Anti-Life Equation existed there for him to find. But, they already had a big-bad in the story and only so many issues to do it in, so no time for that.

Well, that's a surprising twist at the end! Also, Ruby clearly hasn't heard of the "anyone can die" trope. XD Plus, this reminds me of a couple of fan edits that show other character deaths and blaming it on Thanos, with one featuring Pyrrha's death (yeah... they're not as clever as they think they are).
Along with that, I must admit; even if it was a fluke, you actually did show death scenes that are far superior to the ones I've seen in the show so far.

When I think about it, something like this probably happened everywhere. Thanos wiped out half the UNIVERSE. There were probably thousands of Planets whos populace had who hadn't developed space travel yet, and absolutely no idea why the people they loved just disappeared.

MAJOR Spoilers:
Dio from Jojo's Bizarre adventures, when you think about, he managed to kill Johnathan and take his body. But it took 100 years for him to return and be defeated for good by Jotaro.
Rustal from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. He pretty much cheated to guarantee his victory against Tekaden and the Revolutionary fleet buy using those illegal weapons. I'm not sure if he counts though.
Watch Avengers Infinity wars if you haven't seen it yet.
