Description
This is another of my transformation pictures I created of a human turning into an anthropomorphic animal. This time, it's a black haired girl named Laura turning into a Dolphin.Rather then be a sequence that's taking place over mere moments, the Transformation is gradual, taking several days, hence she has time to change her clothes and stuff.
For this sequence, I tried different things rather then spreading changes with fur or skin, I made her skin change colour all at once, gradually loosing colour and becoming grey. Her legs are also changing a lot, shrinking into her body while she grown a lengthening tail. It always bugs me when people do Transformations to Mermaids, Dolphins or other fish, and they have a human's legs become the tail of the creature. This is all well and good when magic is used like in the Little Mermaid, but if it's supposed to make any sense, a Dolphin's tail should be entirely separate from a human's legs, and work more like this. Anyway, I hope you like it then.

The reason why I want to know the age is because of DA rules. It says that no minors (or underage females) may be nude.

I see. Well, she clearly doesn't look underage, so I think the point is moot if the deciding factor is based on what the artist says. I could just as easily say she's an immortal and she's over 700, or that she was cloned in a lab and is only 3. Besides, while she is naked more or less, and it's not like other anthros where she has fur, feathers or scales to cover up with, there is hardly anything showing beyond what is shown on a Barbie doll. I am in no way an advocate or defender of child porn, but I think you are being quite over sensitive if you are looking at a picture of what clearly look like an adult, and your only indicator that she might be underage is based on what the artist says, and only when asked.Β

Well, I do know one or twoΒ artists who know how to deal with that situation from time to time. It's basically harder to tell what a female adult looks like more than a male adult, so that's why I always ask, and yes, I admit that I ask even if it does get tiresome for some people.

Yes, well I do admit that she could lean towards an older teen in appearance, but it was never my intent for her to be anything other than a young adult. But Age is such a subjective thing in drawings, and is simply based on what the artist says. When realism is involved, there has to be some limits, as someone who looks 6 is probably not 35, but in Sci-Fi and Fantasy, Age is far more subjective, as it is within the realm of fantasy to have an age of less than a day to older than time itself.
Besides, you shouldn't be too sensitive. There is a difference between not wearing clothes and pornographically naked. Anything that can safely get by without a maturity warning shouldn't be a concern if its a violation of policy. And bare Anthros with a lack of any kind of detail like that get by without maturity warnings all the time, so it shouldn't really be a problem here. If there is no need for a maturity warning, then there shouldn't be a concern about age. If there is need for a mature warning, then I can understand that the age of the subject is indeed a concern.
Now, I do understand if you have your own opinions on what is considered 'mature' or not, and you may disagree with me whether this is mature or not, but this is not DA policy to force this kind of Art with a maturity warning, so Β I do not think I am at risk of a policy violation for this kind of art.Β
Of course, it could sound like I am getting all defensive because I have something to hide, and I don't mean to give that impression. Β

Umm, I really don't understand what you mean by that here. Are you saying you think her final form shouldn't still have her boobs? But what do you mean by the pain thing?

Im only saying that you should show the viewers what the person it experiencing, not with words, but with facial expressions. Also, the outcome of the tf almost ALWAYS seems to be female. Getting kinda tired of it.

Well, to be fair, I did mention it is not a moment by moment transformation, but transitions over a long period of time, thus she has time to change clothing and get used to the changes, and thus is not currently feeling anything caused by the transformation process at the moment these images are supposed to represent. Besides, it's also hard to change the expression on the bases this is made of, let alone the pose.
As for too many females, well, that's probably the preferences of the artists that do them. I certainly wasn't going to choose to do a male dolphin anthro myself without being asked by someone else, so complaining at me like that won't solve anything. I myself sere plenty of Male subjects in TF art, maybe not a majority, but certainly adequate, so you just have to know where to look for them.

Yeah, I think it works more naturally this way, the whole legs becoming a tail thing is just not proper anatomy. I just tried to do it as I though, though I'm not sure if the legs shrinking looks right.

I think there's a couple things; you might have the tail grow in almost completely first, then have the legs recede after that, and/or have the legs shrink, rather than just sort of erasing themselves. IMHO, the problem is that she looks a bit like an amputee in the next-to-last panel.
