Description
This is part of an Art Trade I did with of a Crocopup a fictitious creature from the 2013 DreamWorks animated film 'The Croods'. The Crocopup was a type of creature called a 'Reptomammal' by the movie's designers, a creature that had the traits of both reptile and mammal. They are perhaps a surviving type of therapsid proto-mammals that survived alongside mammals, gaining mammalian traits while still retaining reptilian ones. the Crocopups were a type of reptomammal with the strong jaws that resembled a crocodilian like an alligator, with the body and powerful legs of a stout wild dog, complete with a coat of fur, a bushy tail and external ears, but remained hairless on its face and jaws, instead they were covered scute-like scales. Though a tough carnivore, Crocopups were quite friendly and easily domesticated, as seen when one Crocopup, called Douglas, easily takes a liking to Thunk Crood and starts acting like a loyal dog.Related content
