woah that took me some time, but I was enjoying myself through it all so hey. :'D

download for full! (fullview is less than 50%, and it looks heaps better)

L. outlines referenced, so to keep the style, but then I shaded and so on on my own without reference (= good practise), trying to mix my own style of semi-realism with the style L's originally drawn in. and I learrrnt much through it yes! and the skin was so much fun. and I shaded with blue cause I've learned that you shade with cold colours and highlight with warm colours yayay.

and the hair. was a lot of fun. and the eyes. adding the blackness beneath them was a whole experience of OMGYAY for me. |D

hmmm I want the eyes just a bit closer together now when I look at it, but ah wells. :'D [link]

oh and I know the neck and hair seem oddly large but it was like that on the reff and I never fiddle too much with things like that |D I just changed his expression a bit here.

and I din't know what else to do for a background no. but I felt it was kinda appropriate, with the old-ish colours (parchment) and the fact that he's a detective (fingerprints). c:
