Likes: Reading poetry, passionate and one-minded people, being alone because company exhausts him, sleeping, napping, beds … to sleep in, bitter food

Dislikes: competitive games, people or pokemon waking him up from his sleep, waiting for his food, people who nags him

Personality :

Shin’s pessimistic and apathetic nature turns him into one of the most unmotivated person you can find. He is much more of a book worm than anything else, and often spends his entire day inside, reading, not that he retains most of what he reads anyways. Lazy and lacking any form of aspiration, Shin finds a surprisingly amount of comfort in epic heroes and stories within books. He will never show it, but he admires those who can stick to and accomplish what they want. Perhaps, somewhere deep inside, he quietly wishes that willpower upon himself. With his carelessness, Shin is laid-back and relatively friendly. Just don’t interrupt his nap, though.

History:

His family hails from the great Jade Imperium. Shin comes from a warrior/assassin family and is the third son of five. He never particularly excelled with weapons and spent a good chunk of his childhood running away from training, reading poetries and day-dreaming in its place. Despite his dislike for fighting, he looked up to his successful brothers, and decided to follow his second eldest brother to Pokimono in his search for other martial arts techniques. His family, hoping that it might be a good chance to inspire some form of fire within the apathetic Shin, agreed to let him go with his brother.

They arrived at Pokimono when Shin was 13. His elder brother studied the ways of the samurai as Shin was immersed into the new language, and became fascinated with its poetry instead of studying weaponry like he was supposed to. His brother didn’t nag him like the rest of his family, so aside from the occasional visits back home, Shin would follow his brother around Pokimono to visit various fighting masters. These fun, adventurous days all ended one morning when Shin found his brother, dead, a tento in his stomach in show of seppuku. Despite everyone else’s conclusions, Shin was sure that instead of suicide, his brother was murdered, so he set out to look the murderer. He soon gave up, however, as he was powerless to do anything with his much weaker body and his long-time of separation from his family. A year after the incident, Zen found Shin sleeping in his farming shed and befriended the scraggy Shin, allowing him to stay in the shed as he “looks for a job”.

Additional info:

    -       The sword he carries around is his brother’s tento and he does not use it for fighting purposes

    -       His birth name is not Shin. He gave himself that name as he adapted into the Pokimono culture

    -       He has 4 brothers and 2 sisters
